Marty Simpson

Marty is fresh off being on tour with Leanne Morgan and Jeff Allen, and over the last 3 years has added some impressive clients to his list of performances. Google, Dell Computers, Parade Magazine, to name a few. Marty's comedy has been featured on ESPN, B.E.T., Nickelodeon, Amazon Prime Video and his two DryBar Comedy specials have millions of views and have garnered fantastic reviews. He's performed on 3 different continents and in 46 of the 50 United States!

Before he spent the last 15 years touring the country as a full time stand-up comedian, Marty had the honor of teaching high school Theatre and Speech and was his school's head football coach for a decade. How many folks do you know who spent all spring directing The Importance of Being Earnest and then took their varsity AAA High School football team all the way to the state championship the following fall? Marty did this and more! He coached Samkon Gado all the way through middle and high school. Samkon went on to have a 6 year career in the N.F.L. and won NFC Rookie of the Month in November of 2005 with the Green Bay Packers. He's now an M.D. with an Ear, Nose and Throat specialty.

Before Marty was a teacher and coach, he was an award winning athlete. That is, if you count being an All-American place-kicker and punter as being an "athlete." He kicked and punted for his beloved South Carolina Gamecocks from 1991 through 1995 starting 44 games during that span and was the team's leading scorer in 1992. He held the South Carolina state record for 17 years for distance with a 61 yard field goal while simultaneously holding the state record for successful P.A.T.'s in a row. Marty also kicked the game winning field goal in the 1988 AAAA State Championship game to win 3-0 for the Spring Valley Vikings. He received over 40 full scholarship offers from division one colleges in 1989 and was USA Today and Parade Magazine's only kicker selected to the All-American teams.

His stand-up comedy is shaped, not only by his 30 years of marriage and two amazing children, but also his 10 years as a head high school football coach and drama teacher. Marty likes to think in today's divided world, his unique experiences in football locker-rooms and theater dressing rooms help him find common ground with just about everyone!
